 About Stoneycroft Wines
The StoneyCroft wine estate is situated in the Stellenbosch Wine Region at the southern tip of South Africa, no more than 20km from the Atlantic Ocean. The Stellenbosch climate is generally Mediterranean with dry, sunny summers and mild to cold winters with an average rainfall of between 600mm and 800mm. This climate, combined with mountainous terrain of well drained fertile soil varieties make the Stellenbosch region an ideal viticultural area.
The StoneyCroft Shiraz cultivar, planted in Clovelly type soil, benefits greatly from this location. With the skill of Danie Steytler, one of South Africa's top winemakers, StoneyCroft Wines have time and again won the prestigious Michelangelo International Wine Award as well as outstanding ratings by John Platter's South African Wine Guide.
Taking into consideration the particular quality of each separate vintage, the StoneyCroft Shiraz is processed with the singular objective to produce an exquisite and exclusive wine that is both a gift and an experience.
