Stoneycroft

StoneyCroft is a small exclusive vineyard on the slopes of Devon Vale just outside Stellenbosch in South Africa.  The area nestles between the Bottelary Hills and Stellenbosch Hills and boasts some of the most beautiful vineyards in the world.

John Stone purchased the farm in 2000 with an established vineyard already 10 years old.  The cultivar is Shiraz and had been leased to Distell, one of South Africa's leading wine producers, for the production of an exclusive shiraz.  In 2000, John did not renew the lease to Distell, regained the cultivation of the vineyard and developed the StoneyCroft label.

The wine maker is Danie Steytler of Kaapzicht Estate.  He is reputedly one of South Africa's top wine makers whose flagship cultivar, the Steytler Vision, a pinotage blend won the top award at an international wine show.

Each vintage of StoneyCroft Shiraz is processed according to the particular quality of the grape of each separate vintage. The singular objective is to produce a wine that is both exquisite and exclusive. This wine is both a gift and an experience.
